The Kasiya Rutile Project is a world-class rutile and graphite project spread across approximately 200 km2 in the Central Region of Malawi. Dhamana has been involved with the Project since discovery as the lead consultant to coordinate the ESIA and gain environmental approval. Ecograf’s intention is to build a vertically integrated battery anode materials business to produce high purity graphite products for the lithium-ion battery and advanced manufacturing markets. Epanko is located within in the Ulanga District in the Morogoro Region, approximately 370 km south-west from the city of Dar es Salaam. Kayelekera Uranium Mine was developed in 2008 before being placed in care and maintenance in 2014 due to low uranium prices. Acquired by Lotus Resources in 2020, Dhamana was engaged to revise the environmental and social management plans and associated sub-management plans to support the proposed restarting of production at the mine and processing plant.
